View All South Indian Bank Awarded with ISO 27001:2013 Certification

 

South Indian Bank, the front-runner in retail and digital banking, has been awarded with ISO 27001: 2013 certification for its Information Security Management System (ISMS).
Mr. V.G. Mathew, MD and CEO of the Bank received the ISO 27001:2013 certificate from Mr. Venkataram Arabolu, Managing Director, BSI Group India at an official ceremony held at SIB Building Kakkanad. 
The certification process involved an extensive audit, which was conducted by British Standards Institution against the criteria set out by the ISO 27001:2013 standards on various domains of IT functions. The bank had already received ISO 9001 Quality Management certification for its Credit Department, Personnel Department and Data Center.
“Achieving the ISO 27001:2013 certification demonstrates our total commitment to benchmarking our technology framework and processes with international standards, and forms part of our long term vision for security best practices. Adhering to the internationally recognized ISMS standards adds yet another layer of security for Bank’s customer data and assures customers of the quality of our service", said Mr. V.G. Mathew.
Mr. Raphael T.J, Senior General Manager and CIO, Mr. Shibu K Thomas, Deputy General Manager (IT Operations) and Mr. Sony A, Deputy General Manager (Digital Division) also spoke at the function.
