Immediate Payment Service (IMPS) is an 24 x7 instant interbank electronic fund transfer service provided by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). All Internet Banking personal and corporate customers can make other bank fund transfers 24 x 7 even on bank holidays through IMPS facility offered through Internet Banking .

IMPS Transactions- (Using Account number  & IFSC)
 
For all Internet Banking users, 'IMPS Using IFSC code ( 24 x 7)' option will be provided under Fund transfers. Registration of Payee/Beneficiary is mandatory for IMPS P2A transactions. Already registered payee/Beneficiaries under NEFT/RTGS network will be automatically enabled for IMPS transactions and new payee/Beneficiary can be registered for NEFT/RTGS/IMPS through the option 'Add new payee/Beneficiary' under Fund Transfers.
 
 
Similar to NEFT/ RTGS/ Within Bank fund transfers, all Internet Banking personal and corporate customer have the option to schedule IMPS transactions to a future date.
 
Personalise Daily fund transfer limit:
 
This facility enables you to reduce your internet banking daily fund transfer limit via online and also to increase the personalized(reduced) limit to bank approved daily fund transfer limit. To update your fund transfer limit, go to ‘Personalize Limits’ under ‘Other services’. Reduced limit is always fixed for a limited period, ie., within a date range . You can restore your bank approved fund transfer limit by pre-closing the personalized(reduced) limit at any point of time and after pre-closure, bank approved fund transfer limit will be applicable from next day onwards.
 

Loan Against deposit Online (FSLD)

You can avail Loan against your deposit through internet banking online 24 x 7, 365 days. Loan account will be opened and amount will be credited to your operative account instantly.

SIB i-Invest is a simple yet feature rich online technology platform that makes investing into Mutual Funds, redeem/switchexisting funds easy and hassle free. In addition, there is a robo advisory facility which recommends the best funds for investments in different sectors for guiding new investors.
Now you can Create mutual fund investment account and start investing/ redeem/switch funds online in simple steps through our Net Banking - SIBerNet.

  1. Login to internet banking and click 'Mutual fund SIB i-invest' under 'Investment' menu option and click 'Continue'.
  2. Complete the Investment account creation procedure by uploading signature. Investment account will be activated instantly if you are KYC complied.
  3. You can make new investment (one time/SIP/tax saver, etc) under create wealth option provided inside SIB i-invest option in net banking.
     

Income Tax e-Filing / e-Verification through SIBerNet

All internet banking retail customers can file their Income tax returns online in a simple and secured manner using this facility. In addition to the e-filing, customers can perform an online verification of the submitted ITR (Income tax Returns). By doing ITR verification through this facility,manual couriering of ITR to CPC, Bangaluru is not required. This will ultimately speedup the filing and refund processes. You can find this service 'Income Tax e-Filing' under'Tax Centre'. You can also View form 26AS (Tax Credit), Rectification Request, Download ITR and much more... with the help of this facility.


Goods And Service Tax (GST) payment

Now you can make GST payment through internet banking in 3 easy steps.GST payment facility is available in internet banking under 'TAX Centre' wherein GST payments can be made instantly without adding new Payee/Beneficiary. Default fund transfer limit for GST payments will be Rs 25 lakh per day, which can be enhanced on request basis through Branch.

Prerequisite: GST challan is to be generated through Goods and Services Tax site. While generating GST challan, payment mode shall be chosen as 'NEFT/RTGS' and remitting bank shall be chosen as 'South Indian bank'. Generated challan will be having "Common Portal Identification Number (CPIN). This CPIN is required to make GST payment through Internet Banking.

Steps to make GST Payment through SIB Net Banking:

  1. Login to internet banking (SIBerNet) and click on 'GST Payment' link provided under TAX Centre.
  2. Enter/select the details such as Debit account number, Credit Account number (CPIN) and Amount

How to avail SIBerNet -Retail customers
 
C R A Y O N S - Create Your Own SIBerNet ID (Online SIBerNet User ID creation and activation) is a facility offered to our Retail/Personal (including proprietary concerns) customers to enroll for Internet Banking facility online. All Retail/Personal customers including proprietary concerns having a valid ATM card, Mobile number and E-mail ID registered with us can avail this facility.
 
Steps for Instant Net Banking User Creation & Activation:
  • Go to SIB Net Banking login screen & Click “New User Registration”.
  • Enter 16-digit account number, registered mobile number, SUBMIT.
  • Enter the OTP received on registered mobile number, SUBMIT.
  • In the next screen, enter card details of the account, SUBMIT.
  • Enter preferred User ID (Customer ID will be the default User ID), Login password and Transaction password in the next screen to complete instant net banking Registration and Activation process.
  • Now login to SIB Net Banking and enjoy banking 24X7.

Conditions for creating Online Internet Banking User ID:
  
You can create your Online SIB Internet Banking User ID, provided the following conditions are fulfilled :-
  • Account should be in Active status (SB/CD/OD/CCOL/NRE/NRO)
  • There should NOT be an existing SIB Internet Banking facility in your account
  • This facility is applicable only for Retail customers (Including Proprietary concerns) having a valid ATM card. Corporate customers can apply for Internet Banking through the branch.
  • Jointly operated accounts can avail Internet Banking facility through Branch.
  • Your Mobile Number and Email ID should be registered with your Account 
Also customers can register for SIBerNet at the time of opening the account or at any later point by submitting the application form at the branch .Registered Customers will be provided with a User ID, a login password and a transaction password. The user ID and passwords will be sent to the customer in a single PIN Mailer along with an acknowledgement slip which has to be filled and sent back to the branch.
 
For using SIBerNet, customers have to login to SIBerNet from our website www.southindianbank.com . click on “Login(Existing User)” from the home page of our website. Click on the link “Continue to login”. The customer will be directed to the login page where the user ID and sign on password have to be entered. While logging in for the first time, customer will have to change both the sign on and transaction passwords. Once logged in, the home page will be displayed and the customer can access the different menu options. 
 
2FA (second factor authentication) for enhanced SIBerNet security
 
2FA enables the users to make their online transactions in the most secured way. It is a security process in which the system will prompt the user to enter a dynamically generated one time password-OTP (Which could either be sent as SMS to the registered mobile number of the customer or it can be self-generated by the customer through an application downloaded to customer’s mobile handset). This is a globally followed practice which ensures maximum security to internet banking transactions.
 
OTP is mandatory for financial transactions such as Third party fund transfer/ NEFT and RTGS transfers above Rs. 2,000/- or if daily Third party fund transfer exceeds Rs. 10,000/- or if daily External fund transfer exceeds Rs. 5,000/-. Apart from this OTP is mandatory for all  online bill payments/ E-commerce transactions. This One Time Password (OTP) shall be sent to users registered mobile number which needs to be entered to complete the transaction. In addition to financial transactions, OTP is mandatory while adding new payee/beneficiary and personalizing transaction limit (for retail customers only).
 
Customers who are facing issue can make use the following Options to receive OTP
  • Missed call E-mail OTP: Missed call E-Mail OTP service is a new facility implemented for getting Internet Banking One Time password in customers registered E-mail ID. In case of delay in receiving SMS OTP, SIBerNet customer can receive One Time Password (OTP) to their registered E-Mail ID by giving a missed call from their registered mobile number to a designated number 9223 815 816 of the Bank. In such case OTP will be sent to customers registered E-mail ID.
  • Snorkel 2FA Application: Self generated OTP ( One Time Password) through an application pre-installed in customers mobile handset. Snorkel registration procedure is as follows: 
  1. Retail Customer can give request for Snorkel 2FA application based OTP through Net Banking or through branch and SIBerNet corporate Customer can give the request for the same through branch.
  2. E-mail alert will be sent to the customer from I-Banking cell after enabling Snorkel facility. Once the mail is received, customer can download the application (from respective App stores) in the mobile phone.
  3. Now Customer have to login to internet banking and click Register now button (snorkel registration alert message will displayed as a pop-up) and agree the Terms & Conditions to start the registration process.
  4. By default Registration token will be sent to customer's registered mobile number as SMS. If registration token is not received via SMS, customers can receive the same registration token as voice call to his / her registered mobile number by clicking on the button " Click here to receive OTP via Voice call" provided in the internet banking snorkel registration page.
  5. Enter the Registration token received and click register button in the mobile application to complete the registration process. 
  • Advantages of Snorkel 2FA Application 
    • Snorkel application is free of cost.
    • Snorkel can be issued to all retail and corporate customers
    • GPRS/Wi-Fi connectivity in mobile required only at the time of snorkel registration.
    • Available in IOS, Android, Windows phone and Blackberry platforms 
Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)
 
Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) is an optional 2nd Factor Authentication mechanism which can be enabled to retail and corporate customers on request basis. This facility isrecommended for all high value transactionthrough net banking as it offers maximum security from cyber frauds. E-mudhra class 2 and class 3 DSC can be linked to internet banking for this purpose.
 
Advantages of Digital Signature Certificate
  •  Once the SIBerNet user is converted in to a DSC user, there is no need of SMS OTP to complete high value financial transactions and other critical internet banking
  •  Digital signature downloaded to USB token cannot be duplicated. Physical presence of USB token device is required to operate internet banking
 
IRCTC Ticket Booking
 
South Indian Bank has entered into direct tie up with IRCTC for railway ticket booking facility through Internet banking. You can now book your train tickets online and pay using SIB Internet Banking Facility.
 
 
Step by step process to Book tickets online and pay through SIBerNet 
  1. All SIB internet banking customers can use this facility. For booking tickets, please visit www.irctc.co.in (for railway tickets). Select your journey date and other details 
  2. On payment option, select South Indian Bank for making the payment.  
  3. You will be redirected to a secured login page of South Indian Bank. After logging on to the site, the payment amount, and payee details will be displayed.  
  4. On paying on to the site, the payment amount, and payee details will be displayed.
  5. You will be required to confirm the transaction by entering transaction password and One Time Password (OTP). On successful authentication, your Bank Account will be immediately debited and payment confirmation number will be provided.  
  6. Within some time you will receive an online confirmation from IRCTC website. Tickets are booked immediately and PNR number is provided online at Partner's website.

KSEB( Kerala State Electricity Board) Online Bill Payment ( Direct Tie-up)
 
South Indian Bank have a direct tie-up with KSEB (Kerala State Electricity Board) to pay electricity bills online through Net Banking. There is no additional charge (Payment gateway charges) required to pay KSEB bills online.
 
 
The Step by step procedure for making KSEB online bill payment is as follows: 
  1. Navigate to KSEB Online bill payment page
  2. Enter your bill details like electrical section, consumer number and bill number. (Email ID or mobile number is compulsory).
  3. Click ‘Proceed to pay bill’.
  4. Select transaction type as Internet Banking and Bank as South Indian Bank and click ‘Show payable amount’
  5. Click on ‘Confirm payment’.
  6. Click on ‘Make payment’.
  7. You will be redirected to SIB internet banking log in page
  8. Enter your user ID and password and click ‘Login’.
  9. Payment details page will be opened where confirmation regarding the same is to be done.
  10. Enter the transaction password and OTP ( One Time Password) and click ‘Submit’.
  11. You will receive a payment confirmation number and payment successful message.
  12. You will be redirected to KSEB website where the transaction details will be shown. 
Please make sure that you select the transaction type as South Indian Bank Net Banking in order make the bill payment without incurring extra charges. 
 
Forgot Net Banking User ID ?
 
Customers who forgot their Net banking User ID can retrieve the same online using this facility.
 
 
Steps to retrieve Net Banking User ID: 
  1. Customer who wishes to retrieve their Forgot/ Deleted Internet Banking User ID shall visit SIB Internet Banking Login page and click the forgot User Id link.
  2. Enter 16 digit Account Number (SB/CD/OD/CC), Registered Mobile Number, Registered Email ID and click 'Continue'
  3. If the entered details are correct, a One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the registered mobile number. User has to input the OTP to complete the process.
  4. Forgotten User ID will be sent to customer's registered e-mail ID within 2 minutes. 
Forgot Password ? ( Online Password Reset)
 
In case the customer has forgotten his Login / Transaction password, Customer can create new Login / Transaction password online by providing User ID, Account number, Debit card details and OTP( sent to customers registered mobile number via SMS). To create New password online, navigate to net banking login page and click on “Forgot password”
 
 
Mobile/ DTH/ Data Card recharge facility
 
All retail customers can recharge their prepaid Mobile/ DTH/ Data Card number through SIBerNet
 
How to do online Mobile / DTH /Data Card recharge through SIBerNet 
  1. For prepaid Mobile/DTH/Data Card recharge, customer have to login to SIB Net banking and click on Other service >> Recharge Mobile/ DTH/ Data card >> Choose Mobile/ DTH/ Data card recharge option. 
  2. Enter the recharge details such as Debit account number, Mobile number, Service provider, recharge mode and amount and confirm the transaction with transaction password and OTP    (where ever required). 
  3. On successful recharge, customer will receive a SMS alert from respective Mobile/ DTH/ Data card service provider. 
Customer can recharge to a maximum of Rs 10,000/- per day through Net Banking. 
 
Bill Pay & Recharge Service
 
Instead of visiting different biller’s websites and making payment, now you can make bill payments through SIB internet banking. Using this functionality, you can register the biller, view the bill amount, pay the bill/ make instant payment and even can set auto pay for the bill. Bill Pay & Recharge service helps you to make payment towards various bill payment from a single platform. In addition to bill payments, you can also make prepaid Mobile, DTH and Data card recharges.
