Special rates for resident senior citizens, individually or jointly with another resident citizen : 0.50%

Rate of interest applicable to SIB Tax gain will be same as card rates for five year tenor.

Premature closure penalty of 0.50% for all fresh deposits and deposits renewed afresh upto ` 15 lakhs. 1% premature closure penalty for deposits above ` 15 lakhs.

Penalty is not applicable for deposits prematurely closed for further renewal of full principal for the same or longer maturity.
